"When I saw my latest condo insurance bill from State Farm, I gasped. I have a 20% increase in the premium (no prior notification from the State Farm). Luckily, Elizabeth Bojangles talked me down from the ceiling and has provided some background and alternatives. I recognize I need to research what the Condo Master policy covers vs what I have to cover in the event of a fire, leaky pipe, etc.. For others confronting a huge increase in insurance, I hear you. Take your time. There's climate change impacts from the more frequent storms and we have a very litigious community in the DMV. Rates are going up. What you need is someone who will help you understand."
